I Read for Ice Cream

Orange Leaf is partnering with the Emma Andrews Library to encourage kids to read over the summer. The popular Market Square frozen confection company is offering a free yogurt when five books are read, and an Orange Leaf tee shirt when ten books have been completed. 





Forms for participation are available at the Emma Andrews Library.

Summer Programs - Starting July 10th



Announcing our 3rd Annual Summer Programs
These will run on Wednesday afternoon's from 12:00- 3:00.
The program will begin at 1:00, crafts, stories and games will be available for the children.
Bring a picnic lunch, blanket, chair and enjoy the afternoon.
These programs are Free but we ask you to sign up for the week's you will be attending so we have enough crafts prepared.

  • July 10, Fire Safety with the Newburyport Firemen ,
        Suzanne DeWitt reads "Rumplepimple"



  • July 17,  Donna Seim will be there to read from her classic story, "Where is Simon, Sandy?", the story of a little donkey that wouldn't quit. We will make our own donkey tails and play pin the tail on the donkey. Maggie Van Galen will be there to read her wonderful new book" Keeno and Ernest and the Banana Tree" and make monkey puppets.

Blueberries and Fund Raising





We have a fund raiser coming up.
Carol Elwell of Maple Crest Farm in West Newbury, has very generously offered her farm for blueberry picking. We have 20 certificates. With a $10 donation to the Emma Andrews Library you will be able to bring a picnic lunch, fish in the pond, walk the trails, ride the farm wagon and pick a pint of blueberries.

Yard Sale July 27th




The Emma L. Andrews Library announces it's annual community yard sale to be held Sat. July 27, 2013. Tables are available for a donation of $20.00, but there are only 15 spots so reservations are necessary. 
Call Arlene at  978-255-1396 to reserve a space.

You can also help support the library by donating items to be sold at the Emma Andrews table.
 Please drop off donated items Monday July 22, between 5:00 and 7:00PM
