Purchase one of these cards made by children of Newburyport's Brown School. Each card comes with a book plate which you fill out to honor the recipient. The plate is then affixed in a new book which will be added to the library's collection.

Story Hours at Emma

3-4 yr old Wednesday 9:30-10:30
3-4 yr old Wednesday 11:00-12:00
4-5 yr old Wednesday 1:30-2:30

3-6 yr old Saturday 10:15-11:15

We also have a Tween Program on Saturday from 10:00-12:00 for 9-11 yr olds.

These classes are free and limited to 12 in each class, please call the library (978-358-8097) to register.

Hi Everyone,

We wanted to let you know that the library will be closed Saturday March 16th and Wednesday March 20th. We are doing some work on the exterior of the building. We will miss you all on these days, we will re-open after next Wednesday on our regularly schedule days.

On Thursday, March 21, Bethany Groff, a regional site manager for Historic New
England, will present a bit of earlier history, based on her book A Brief History of Old
Newbury: From Settlement to Separation. Her account helps us see some vivid
personalities of Newburyʼs founding families and the tumultuous events in which they
participated.
